More Than Pink Walk Promotional Video

In the early months of 2020, The Susan G. Komen Foundation contracted a company I work for, M7, to create a few promotional videos for their “More Than Pink” Walk, an event held in Philadelphia to help raise awareness and money for breast cancer patients. For this job I acted as head of video, setting up the location with lighting, testing the sound levels, calibrating two cameras, and directing the shoot. I also took care of editing the main promotional video they planned on using for the event. Obviously with the pandemic this event never took place in May of 2020, but it helps showcase a sample of my capabilities with video.

NJAMHAA Conference Graphic

Chorus Communications, a company I contract for, took part in a virtual IT Conference where their main objective was to showcase and act as a beacon of information on business technology to existing and new customers. They asked that I design a graphic for them to highlight their keynote speaker and the topics he planned on covering. They wanted a design that could be used in email and re-purposed for social media use. I created the graphic below with the stylistic directions to keep it simple, clean, and informative.

Microsoft Ignite Event Infographics for Newsletter

The Microsoft Ignite event is a yearly tech conference where Microsoft unveils new products and software, particularly relating to business-use. A company I contract for, Chorus Communications, wanted to include some of the news from the event in their marketing newsletter in an engaging and informative way. I created these graphics using the insights from one of their partners’ attendees of the event. The images were used to summarize the findings and reflecting thoughts of us and our partner, Evolve IP, stemming from Microsoft’s announcements. I created the graphics keeping social media in mind, in case my client wanted to re-purpose the content for different platforms outside of their newsletter.

Texan Oktoberfest Showcase

A video showcasing an Oktoberfest festival hosted in Fredericksburg, Texas. I was tasked with creating this screen test by a client with no ability to film on location since the festival for 2019 had already occurred before the request, and would not happen again until October 2-4 of 2020. Given the situation, I outsourced all video and pictures from the client. My manager then conducted a phone interview with the client’s head editor so that we could us the audio as a series ad to plug in the beginning of the episode. Once I received, organized, and edited the content, I wrote the script and recorded the voiceover to create a video that truly portrays all Fredericksburg’s Oktoberfest has to offer.

2018-2019 Reel

My reel from various videos that I have shot over the past two years. The video showcases a lot of different films I’ve had the pleasure to take part in. Due to copyright restrictions I could not use footage from some of my jobs. However, I wouldn’t have used most of the footage to be honest. Workplace training videos don’t exactly have the most exciting b-roll. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed filming these events and working with these wonderful people.

Dear Kobe

I created this video as a tribute to one of my personal heroes, Kobe Bryant. His passing affected in a way I wasn’t expecting. It was emotional to put it simply. I struggled to find a way to voice how much Kobe meant to me. After watching his Oscar-winning short film, “Dear Basketball,” an idea began to come to the forefront of my mind. I realized Kobe’s script was from his perspective about his relationship basketball, which was a huge part of his life. I wanted to tell the relationship that I, and other fans of his, had with him, and how his relationship between basketball and his family affected so many people’s perspectives. “Dear Kobe” is that story.

I encourage you to watch the original film as well. It’s beautiful and you may notice how I parodied Kobe’s script.

Noah’s Story

A video I was given permission to post on my youtube channel by the owners of Noah Nation. Noah is a young boy from Tennessee who has been battling Leukemia for over a year now. He and his family have been through so much. One day Noah’s mother, Martha, wanted to raise awareness for the lack of funding that childhood cancer efforts receives from the government. She began campaigning through Facebook by creating a page called Saving Baby Noah from B Cell.

Martha, through her sister Maria, reached out to me to film an edit Noah and his family’s experience with childhood cancer and what they are doing in an effort to raise awareness about children affected by all types of cancer. This is their story. This is Noah’s Story.
